POLYMER ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY
MASTER OF TECHNOLOGY DEGREE IN POLYMER PROCESS ENGINEERING
The M.Tech program in Polymer Process Engineering presents the student with the innovative, analytical, design and research techniques. These techniques will thus provide the skills required to explore and process polymers, to carry out the complete set of activities involved in the Polymer and Processing Industry. The graduate will be conversant of the process of designing and producing new products, technologies and services to satisfy consumer needs in a sustainable way.
This master’s degree programme aims to provide in-depth knowledge in design related areas such as polymer processing, process optimization, process management, product development and design, rubber technology, packaging technology, and other polymer applications with their manufacturing technologies.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Graduates will:
- Exhibit professional expertise in the design of new polymer products and processes
- Show knowledge in running the polymer industry profitably with the ability to execute economically informed decisions.
- Aware of how their professional role will impact the global community.
- Able to apply computer-based techniques in the analysis, design and/or process optimization.
- Identify, formulate and solve processing engineering problems based on data interpretation, experiments, and analysis of results.
- Students will have the ability to link research and contemporary engineering practice.
