The Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) conducted a successful campus clean-up exercise this morning in partnership with the Belvedere Community, as part of the National Clean-Up Campaign initiated by His Excellency President Emmerson D. Mnangagwa in 2018.
HIT staff and community members from Belvedere gathered to collect litter and promote environmental awareness on campus and in the surrounding areas. This initiative aims to beautify the university grounds and encourage sustainable practices among the community. The event reflects HIT’s commitment to contributing positively to the nation’s environmental goals.
Participants expressed enthusiasm for making a tangible difference and highlighted the importance of maintaining clean and safe surroundings. The clean-up is part of a broader national effort to foster a culture of cleanliness and environmental stewardship across Zimbabwe.
