PROFESSOR KANHUKAMWE APPOINTED SARUA CHAIRMAN

Harare Institute of Technology Vice-Chancellor Professor Eng. Quinton Chamunorwa Kanhukamwe has been appointed the new Chairman of the Southern African Universities Association (SARUA), marking a significant milestone in the organization’s history. The announcement was made on SARUA’s social media platforms, which praised Prof Kanhukamwe’s leadership and vision as crucial for advancing higher education and fostering collaboration across the region.
As the new Chairman, Prof Kanhukamwe will lead a team of esteemed executives, including Prof. Christine Mushibwe of Unicaf University Zambia, Prof. Samson Sajidu of the University of Malawi – UNIMA, Prof. Bettencourt Capece of the Universidade Zambeze, and Prof. Andreas Mwoombola of Welwitchia University.
SARUA, a vibrant membership organization that represents the entire SADC higher education region, is committed to empowering the regional higher education sector to contribute positively to socio-economic and environmental development. The organization aims to be a dynamic and inclusive peer-led network that facilitates sustainable, evidence-based higher education impact in the SADC region.
