The Design Technology students from Watershed High School in Marondera recently had the opportunity to visit the Harare Institute of Technology’s Technology Centre.
Led by Engineer B. Mangaliso, the Acting Director of the HIT Technology Centre, the students received a warm welcome and were assured of ongoing support for their design technology studies.
During their visit, the students participated in a dynamic design thinking lecture at the Innovation Hub, facilitated by Engineer R. Mahoso, Chairperson of the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME) department. They gained valuable insights and knowledge to enhance their learning experience.
Additionally, the students explored the HIT Tool and Die workshop, where they were introduced to cutting-edge design applications, tools, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. This hands-on experience provided them with a real-world understanding of modern technology and its applications in the field of engineering.
The tour to the HIT Technology Centre was a remarkable and enlightening experience for the Design Technology students, setting a solid foundation for their future growth and success in the world of engineering and technology design.
