The Student Affairs Department at Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) hosted a vibrant Youth Sports Festival on 23 February 2024 in honor of National Youth Day. Students from various schools and departments came together to showcase their athletic skills in a variety of sports, including football, netball, tennis, darts, and pool.

In addition to the friendly competition, the Health Centre seized the opportunity to provide health and wellness checks to the participating students. This event not only encouraged physical activity and teamwork but also promoted overall well-being among the youth.

National Youth Day is a significant occasion commemorated annually on 21 February, celebrating the birthday of the late national hero and former President of Zimbabwe, Cde Robert Gabriel Mugabe. The Youth Sports Festival served as a fitting tribute to his legacy, fostering unity and camaraderie among the youth.
