The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) have joined hands to establish a Microbiology Laboratory at the University campus with a cold room in 2024.

TIKA has handed over some equipment that will be used to set up the laboratory.

The two parties have also agreed to train individuals jointly who will work on the project.

HIT will submit a report on the laboratory’s functioning in 2024 and 2025 to TIKA.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) will be valid for two years and will be renewed directly unless either party terminates it with a written notification six months in advance.
