HIT PARTNERS URAL STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

The Harare Institute of Institute of Technology (HIT) has partnered with the Ural State Medical University (USMU) of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation to develop cooperation in education and research, promoting the efficient functioning of the systems of higher and postgraduate education as well as the training of highly qualified specialists.
The two parties also agreed to promote the continuous professional development of their employees as well as achieve the integration of vocational education and science.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) also includes cooperation in education and science, joint participation in discussing and solving actual problems, exchange of educational, scientific, and information technology, and sharing available intellectual and material resources.
The other areas of cooperation include the involvement of students in scientific research on priority areas of basic and applied research, conducting joint training courses, seminars, conferences, workshops and other events for professionals, implementation of scientific-methodical management of the learning process and the implementation of joint projects on information exchange.
HIT and USMU agreed to form joint working and expert groups and committees, temporary creative groups to coordinate, develop and implement the proposed and designed solutions.
The parties will seek to provide maximum assistance to each other in the implementation of the adopted obligations under this agreement.
This agreement which is valid for five years was signed by the HIT Vice Chancellor Dr Eng. Q.C Kanhukamwe and USMU Rector Dr Olga Kovtun.
The Ural State Medical University is a public university in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The University was established in 1930 and has become a significant science and education centre in Russia. The University is recognised by some world-renowned medical councils.
