The Harare Institute of Technology scooped the Best Innovation in Citizen Centred Service Delivery Trophy at the 8th Africa Public Service Day Commemorations at Elephant Hills Hotel in Victoria Falls from 21-23 June 2021.
The Harare Institute of Technology was showcasing its COVID-19 innovations at at this continental event running under the theme “Building the Africa We Want Through Embracing an Ethical Culture That Underpins Purpose Driven Leadership in The Context of a Crisis,” and four sub themes.
HIT was exhibiting under the sub-theme (C) “Deploying Technology to Sustain and Enhance Service Delivery in The Face of This Challenging Covid 19 Pandemic Climate.”
The projects included the COVID-19 Ventilator Project, Mass Urban Bus Transport System (ZUPCO Tap card), Local Authorities Digital Systems (LADS), COVID-19 Alert System (www.covid19zw.com) and the Sanitisers and Disinfectant Production Line.
