Available and accessible full text to you on the HIT Library website are electronic databases of books and journals that have been carefully selected with your teaching, learning and research needs in mind. They are all available on on-campus access which is IP authenticated. Off-campus access is being explored. Just click on the e-resources link from the library website and you are on! You can browse the list below taking note of the subject strength then select the most appropriate for that assignment or research topic you are working on.
EBSCO Host Research Databases
Provides access to 8 major databases: Academic Search Premier; Business Source Premier; ERIC; Masterfile Premier; Newspaper Source; Health Source : Nursing & Academic; Health Source : Consumer Edition; Medline. These databases can be searched at the same time; many journals can be searched at once.
Subject Strengths: Good coverage of most branches of social sciences and humanities; Strong business coverage; Strong nursing, medicine and allied health coverage; Dedicated newspaper database, kept separate from peer-reviewed content.
Emerald Management 120 e-Journal Collection
Emerald Management features 120 Business and Management journals, all of which are peer-reviewed and fully searchable full text journals plus reviews from the world’s top 300 management journals. Many go back to 1990s.
