The Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) Journal of Food Processing Technology (JFPT) is a multidisciplinary, professional journal for the publication of important and high quality pieces of work. The Journal is issued annually (September), peer-reviewed and open access that publishes the following:


Scope of the Journal

The Journal of Food Processing Technology aims to issue scientific and timely information for communities including academia and industry that are involved in food processing and related fields. Globally, food systems and the society are ever-changing. With these trends, technovation in the domain of food processing technology is equally important. Basically, food processing deals with all facets of unit operations involved in the transformation of raw materials produced in primary production to finished packaged products ready for the consumers. Importantly, produced products are required to meet market demands in all aspects of the food product features.
