Achieving world classness and internationaliasation of our teaching and learning and research programmes is the passion and the driving force of HIT’s management, school staff and students.

In the HIT Strategic Plan 2015-Designing the Future, the School of Engineering and Technology will aim to raise the following:

  1. Stakeholder participation in curricula development and review
  2. Levels of expertise and funding levels for the pulverised coal – fuel plant project
  3. Number of international students and exchange students
  4. Number of patents
  5. Number of spin – off companies
  6. Income generated from short courses / consultancy services
  7. Precision levels
  8. Standards of design and innovation / capestone design projects

In the HIT Strategic Plan 2015-Designing the Future, the School of Engineering and Technology will aim to create the following:

  3. High Tech electronic components related products
  4. High Tech precision tools, components and related products
  5. Telecommunication technologies
  6. Nano Technologies
  7. Photonics Technologies
  8. Advanced manufacturing Technologies (rapid prototyping and nano-fabrication technologies)
  9. Chemical engineering Pilot plant by 2015
  10. . Pilot mineral processing technologies
